EnChroma Fit-To-Frame Service

We can make EnChroma lenses for your favorite frames, with or without a prescription. At present, Fit-to-Frame Service is only available for US orders.

Here’s how it works:

Place your order, ship us your frames, and get custom EnChroma glasses mailed straight to your door. Once you order online, we’ll send you an email with detailed instructions on what to do next.

Mailing Instructions

• Make sure to send us your glasses intact, with the lenses in the frames.
• Securely package your frames and include a print-out of your order confirmation in the shipping box and write your order number on the outside of the box.
• Please don’t send us the case for your glasses. EnChroma is not responsible for lost cases.

Frame Requirements

• We accept most full-rim frames made from metal or plastic.
• Frames must be Rx-able, even if you’re ordering EnChroma lenses without a prescription. Rx-able frames (also called Rx capable) are designed for use with prescription lenses.
• Frames must be in new condition. Damaged or deteriorating frames are not accepted.
• Please note: Sport-style “wrap-around” frames (also called 8-base frames) cannot accept regular single vision prescriptions. Instead, select Free-Form Single Vision  or Progressive.
• Only frames with a lens size of less than or equal to 64mm (horizontal dimension) will be accepted. Most frames have the eye size printed on the inside of the temple. It looks like this 64 ⚝ 15. Some high prescriptions and high Pupillary Distance (PD) are not accepted.

Special Order and Upcharge Required for Safety Glasses

Please note that orders using safety frames must be custom ordered (US orders only) and require an additional $75 surcharge for special assembly, processing, and marking. Safety frames are stamped with the following marks Z87.1 or Z87.1 + or Z87.1-2.

We Cannot Accept:

• Clip-ons
• 3D printed frames, horn frames, or frames made from other unusual or delicate materials
• Frames that require complex lens shapes, shapes with notches or cutouts
• Frames with only a single lens, such as a shield or ski goggle

Prescriptions

If you purchase a prescription, you will be sent an email after submitting your order with information on how to send in your prescription. For more information, see our prescription guide.

Return Policy

You can return your Fit-to-Frame order within 60 days, however a $100 processing fee will be deducted from your refund to offset our costs.

To return a Fit-to-Frame order, return both your glasses and your original lenses so that we can remove the EnChroma lenses, re-mount your original lenses, and mail the glasses back to you.

Warranty

Our standard 2-year warranty only applies to the EnChroma lenses placed in your frames. EnChroma does not provide warranty protection for customer-provided frames.

Liability

We take the upmost care in handling your custom frame order. However, due to the nature of processing, the original lenses may break during removal and small surface blemishes may appear on the frame. If the original lenses are undamaged during processing, we will include those with your new EnChroma lenses.

EnChroma is not responsible for damage or loss of frames during transit to us. When mailing your frames to us, please mail them with insurance for their correct replacement value and require a signature for delivery.

We cannot guarantee that your frames will be compatible with our lenses or manufacturing processes. EnChroma reserves the right to refuse customer-provided frames. Customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping for incompatible frames.
